(The Truth of Heaven and Hell)
Hell is one afterlife many Christians believe in and the first afterlife that will be examined.
The most common perceptions of Hell
Many Christians believe and teach Hell is a literal fiery place where the immortal spirits/souls of Dead non-Christians/evil people go and are tortured by endless fire, as well as Satan and his Demon minions in fiery cells and pits forever. For many Christians who firmly believe in the reality of the Bible, this is a scary and fearful reality; many Christians become Christians just to keep from going to Hell in the afterlife and go on missions/evangelizing to non-Christian nations/people to keep the people who know little or nothing about the Bible from going to this horrible place. Despite this there is much debate and confusion of where hell is:
Where is Hell?
The Location and nature of Hell varies from Christian (Human) to Christian (Human); some say hell is physically located somewhere underneath the surface of the Earth, others say it’s in the spiritual realm somewhere at the moment and not on earth but will be on Earth someday in the future while others say its somewhere else like it’s on another planet or maybe even in the sun!
However, the majority believe that Hell is somewhere under the Earth (most likely the center of Earth) and dead immortal souls of non-Christians go there on Death to be tortured for eternity.
Many modern (non-Christian) people scoff at such an unscientific and unreal belief that hell is a literal fiery place in the core/under of the Earth Where the Sprits/Souls of non-Christians/Evil people go after death to be tortured by Satan and Devils. The main reason why this traditional idea of Hell is often made fun of in many entertainment and referred to many times in Cartoons and comics alike.
But the real question is this: Is this common human perception of hell actually what the bible says about hell? We will now look at everything the Bible has to say about hell to see if this common human perception of hell is truly what God’s word describes hell as. so what does the Bible say about hell?
